My little contribution to mother earth

It's been a lovely summer here, warm, sunny days, full of gentle breezes I wish it stay like this all year around..Over the last few weeks I have been enjoying spending lots of time in the garden with my children....They are learning so much about bees, flowers, and the pollination process and they are eager to learn more. In the past  I used to plant  a few annuals,It is this year that I am very into gardening and I am  planting more Perennials ... I have a very sunny backyard. I need sun plants that are known for their drought-tolerance. This is what I have so far..

Thank you....................

What's blooming now?

Today I felt like sharing some recent blooms from my little garden.
My  garden is not nearly as fancy as many gorgeous backyard gardens, but this little space gives me such immense pleasure. Although I'm still planting, weeding, the garden is starting to wake up. Here are a few close up shots..

Rudbekia Indian summer is a most have in my book..

First Dahlia bloom of the season,  such a little ray of sunshine!

                                                             Salvia..

Even my creeping Jenny is in bloom..Do you see its tiny flower?

I wish I could show more, but not everything is blooming...I'll be back with more...
